LOOKING FOR WORK, LOOK NO FURTHER...
REGISTRATION
In order to be considered for any suitable vacancies you will need to register with our Agency. Registration is completed by means of an informal interview conducted at our offices in Newport. The normal duration is approximately 20 minutes and allows us to get to know you, your work history, specifications and any transferable skills you may have, to assist us in placing you.
Upon registration we ask you to provide an up to date CV (you can email this to us beforehand using the ‘Send us your CVs’ page on this website), contact details for two referees (at least one previous employer), your National Insurance number and photo ID (valid passport is preferred, if you cannot supply this you will need to provide a driver’s licence plus a birth certificate). In addition to the above please bring with you any certificates or licences that are relevant to the work you are looking for.
Registrations are conducted by appointment, which can be arranged by contacting our office by telephone on 01983 822615. Alternatively students can request a Student Registration form.

TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENTS
Temporary assignments can vary greatly in timescale; we cover sickness, holidays, maternity leave, seasonal work and specific projects. Some companies favour taking a member of staff on a temporary basis before offering a permanent position.
Our Client will contact us with their requirements, sometimes at very short notice, which is why we ask you to be as flexible as possible. We then search our database to find the most suitable candidate(s).
We then contact you to confirm your availability and give you as much information about the placement as possible including; the temporary position, address of the company, the industry they are in, your contact, the assignment dates, hours and the rate you will be paid per hour. We always pay above the minimum wage and strive to increase the salaries awarded on the Island.
You are not obliged to accept any temporary bookings and assignment dates and times may be subject to changes by the company.
All details of temporary contracts are confirmed to you in writing, though if booked at short notice these may reach you after the assignment has commenced.
In all temporary cases (other than contracts where you are employed directly by a company), the agency is responsible for the payment of wages, for which you will be required to fill in a time sheet with the hours you have worked to the nearest 15 minutes. This is your responsibility to complete and must be signed off at the end of each week, or end of assignment, by yourself and by your line manager/contact and the relevant copies returned to our office by Monday morning following the week worked.
Prior to your first assignment you will be sent two copies of our ‘Terms of Engagement for Temporary Workers’ to sign. You will have to complete the bank details form on the copy which you return to our office and retain the second copy for your personal records.
We will require a P45 when you start your first assignment. If you do not have a current P45 you will be required to fill in a P46 form to ensure you are coded for tax correctly, this can be obtained from our office.
Wages are paid directly into your account via BACS on Thursday each week (this may differ in weeks containing a bank holiday), for the previous week’s work. You will receive your payslip by Thursday each week.
Holiday pay is accrued whilst you are working on temporary assignments and is calculated on a weekly basis based on the average number of standard hours worked. Temporary Workers are currently eligible for 28 days holiday per annum pro rata.
PERMANENT POSITIONS
When a permanent vacancy is received we search our database to find suitable candidates for the position. We do this by using the specifications the company has given us, including the experience and qualifications required. We will contact those candidates who possess the relevant skills and experience to see if they are interested in being put forward for the position.
To perform this task accurately it is important that we have received relevant and correct information from you at the time of registration. Should you undertake any courses or gain any qualifications after registration, it is important to keep us updated, as it could be to your advantage.
We will then pass on any information given to us by the company with regards to the position e.g. job descriptions/ person specifications, salary and benefit details and any information regarding the company e.g. website addresses.
Should you wish to be considered for the position we will then submit your details to the client and inform them about you from the information ascertained at registration.
We make suitable interview arrangements for those chosen by the client and give you an indication of the interview process and whether any testing will be involved. After the interview we will try to gain as much feedback as possible.
Upon attending an arranged interview please make sure you are appropriately dressed e.g. smart dress attire worn for office related interview.
To assist us in looking for a permanent placement for you, it is helpful to know the salary required and if currently employed, the notice period required.
Should your situation change and you become available for temporary work also, please contact us so we can amend your details and consider you for any suitable temporary assignments.
