Location: Isle of Wight / London
Hours: paid for 24 hours per week, may develop into a full time role for the right candidate
Days: Friday - Sunday
To promote and sell fresh produce and derivative products at weekly farmers markets.
Develop and maintain presence and relationships with market coordinators, commercial clients and the consumer, develop an awareness of competitor trading and identify new opportunities for trade or promotion.
Collection of vehicle and stock, adherence to routes and schedules, multi drop deliveries, unloading vehicle, set up and manage market stall, merchandising and stock replenishment, customer services and product advice, cash handling and reconciliation, dismantling and loading vehicle. Basic vehicle maintenance and adherence to health & safety and hygiene standards.
Must have excellent customer service and communication skills. Must be passionate about food and have good attention to detail. Sales experience is preferred. Must have good initiative and be able to work proactively. Must have a full driver’s licence and be confident in driving around central London, previous commercial driving experience is preferred. Must be flexible with working hours and willing to travel.
This role will be travelling to London on Fridays, staying over night in hotel accommodation Friday and Saturday nights (at “responsible” leisure), delivery driving on Saturday and Sunday mornings and trading for 4-5 hours both days, returning to the Island on Sunday evening.
May develop into a field sales role for the right candidate.
Salary: £9.50 per hour plus accommodation, travel and sustenance.
