Location: East Wight
Hours: 40 hours per week, standard hours 9am - 4.15pm, may include occasional evenings for events and small functions.
Days: 5 days from 7 on a rota basis to include at least one weekend day per week.
Duration: starts end of March, 6 month fixed term contract.
Catering on a café menu for up to 250 cover per day during peak season.
Responsible for one member of staff.
Preparation of baguettes and sandwiches, baked potatoes, burgers and soups.
Baking of cakes, preparation of deserts.
Menu development and costings.
Ordering, stock control and rotation.
Adherence to hygiene, health & safety and quality standards.
Must have previous catering experience within a stand alone or supervisory role, preferably high volume, multi outlet.
Must have valid Level 2 Food Safety/ Hygiene certification and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Catering. Other relevant catering qualifications including food allergy training, are preferred but not essential.
Must be able to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team within a pressurised environment.
Must have at least a basic level of computer literacy.
Salary: £11.00 per hour
