Industry: Property Maintenance
Location: Isle of Wight ( occasional mainland travel may be required)
Hours: 8am - 4.30pm (plus out of hours on a rota basis)
Days: Monday - Friday (plus out of hours on a rota basis)
Responsible for the overseeing and delivery of planned schedule of works including kitchens, bathrooms and void refurbishments,
Planning, programming, allocation of resources and materials and completion.
Management, coaching and development of up to 8 trades staff.
Ensuring all works are undertaken against quality and regulatory standards, against targets (including timescales, quality and budgets),
Surveying stock, maintaining stock conditions, quality audits, reporting issues and required actions,
Communication with colleagues, customers, suppliers and contractors,
Participate in out of hours duty management rota to assist with any property related emergencies or critical incidents,
Maintain administrative systems
Must have previous supervisory experience within a property maintenance or construction contracts management related environment.
Must have thorough knowledge of building regulations, health and safety regulations and good attention to detail. An understanding of housing standards is an advantage.
Must have excellent communication and negotiation skills and the ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of staff as well as develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Must have a high level of customer service and problem solving skills and take ownership of issues through to resolution within guidelines.
Must have excellent organisational skills and be able to prioritise and schedule work, optimising resources and working to budgets and deadlines. Must have a good level of computer literacy.
Must have full driver’s licence and own transport (mileage paid).
Salary: £34 - 38,000 per annum plus out of hours premium and benefits
