Hours: 39 hours per week, standard hours: 7.40am-4pm Mon - Thu, 7.30am - 3pm Fri, must be flexible as overtime is required during seasonal peak
Days: Monday - Friday however weekend working required on occasion and during seasonal peak
Duration: Temporary to Permanent for the right candidate
Operation of large computerised and manually operated agricultural static plant and mobile plant, monitoring operations, checking levels and quality. Planned servicing and cleaning of equipment plus responsive maintenance, including motors, gearboxes, fans, pumps, augers, conveyors, lifts, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Problem solving, fabrication and welding. Assisting in the development of processes and products and identifying areas for improvement. Liaison with internal staff and external suppliers and contractors. Driving HGV Class 1 Vehicles (training provided).
Must have a good technical aptitude and previous mechanical experience, preferably within an agricultural or heavy plant environment including pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Experience of MIG Welding is preferred, training can be given. Must have full driver’s licence, HGV Class 1 an advantage, however training can be given. Telehandler licence an advantage, training can be given. Must be able to work well as part of a small team and on own initiative. Must have excellent problem solving and communication skills. Must be pro active and resilient. Must be willing to learn new skills and be adaptable. Must be flexible with working hours when required.
Salary: £9.86 - 12.33 per hour worked
