Location: Isle of Wight
Hours: Standard Hours: 8am - 5pm, however must be flexible during peak season
Days: Monday - Friday, however must be flexible during peak season
Responsible for the overseeing the operations of packaging of produce, including staff, schedules, quality and health and safety.
Review of current processes and practices, identifying areas for improvement and development, implementation of change.
Training, mentoring and monitoring of performance of staff.
Ensure collaboration and communication with Operations, Product and Supply Chain Managers
Creation of production schedules.
Maintain stock records, Adherence to stock rotation and monitor stock levels against sales forecasts to ensure quality and minimise wastage.
Stock control and ordering of packaging materials and PPE.
Maintain the highest standards of hygiene.
Maintain and calibrate Packhouse equipment and machinery, report any technical issues and coordinate maintenance.
Must have a good level of staff and process management experience within a factory, warehouse or logistics environment.
Must have a good understanding of efficiency, quality and health & safety.
Must have the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement change whilst building strong working relationships.
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and work as part of a team.
Must have excellent organisations skills, attention to detail and proactively taking ownership for areas of responsibility.
Must have a good level of numeracy and computer literacy.
