Hours: full-time (37.5 hours per week), part-time and bank positions available. Includes non-waking nightshifts
Days: 5 days from 7, Monday - Sunday, on a rota basis

Duties:
Working with young people (16 – 25 year olds) within a residential environment to support the development of life skills, nurture and prepare to move towards independent living through advice and encouragement.
One to One Key Worker Support, building relationships and trust.
Actively working towards individual person-centred plans, ensuring high standards of care, support and protection.
Liaison with management team, agencies and education contacts. Signposting, booking and accompanying appointments.
Personal welfare, organising and supervising enriching activities as well as day to day living including domestic tasks and financial awareness and transporting to and from appointments.
Identifying and mitigating risk, using initiative to instigate early interventions, problem solving and where necessary assisting is crisis management.
Adherence to health and safety and safeguarding legislation as well as company policies and quality standards.
Experience:
Must have previous experience of working with children or young people and the dedication to make a difference.
Relevant qualifications in health or child care are required.
Must be calm and able to work within a sometimes pressurised environment.
Must have excellent communication, listening and empathy skills.
Must be approachable, have a high level of integrity plus influence and negotiation skills.
Must be computer literate with the ability to undertake administrative tasks.
Must have a full driver’s licence and the ability to use own transport for business purposes.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a DBS clearance.
Salary: £9.50 - £10.00 per hour worked ( including nightshift) dependent upon experience plus benefits and mileage
