Location: Newport, Isle of Wight
Hours: 6am - 2pm (flexibility s required as round may take longer on some days)
Days: Monday - Friday
Duration: immediate start for approx., 4 weeks ( may be extended)
Duties:
Daily vehicle check and reporting defects,
Assisting warehouse team in loading vehicle,
Working to set routes, multi drop deliveries to commercial customers,
Unloading vehicle and manual handling tasks.
Operation of scanners, checking temperatures, maintaining records.
Adherence to health and safety and highways regulations.
Experience:
Must have valid Category C Driver’s license, CPC and digital Tachograph (Driver Card).
Must have previous HGV Class 2 driving experience and a good knowledge of the Island’s road network and understanding of health and safety.
Must be physically fit due to the nature of duties.
Must have good customer service skills and the ability to work well as part of a team as well as on own initiative.
Salary: £17.00 per hour worked
