Standing out to me is not simply showing how great you are but how much you have looked into the position offered. If I see something in the opening statement linked specifically to the role you have applied for I will actually take time to read your C.V. I know it takes a bit more time however researching the role is so crucial for me when I am looking through so many applicants. However it does not just stop at the C.V, in an interview I expect the person to have looked at our website and have specific questions relating to the role.
